Competition Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the Fraser Coast Tourism & Events competition. The odds of winning the prize depends on the number of entries made via the competition form during the Competition Period, where the user opts into the competition by accepting these terms and conditions.

  1. Eligibility: The Whale Watching Giveaway (“Competition”) is open to individuals who are legal residents of Australia and are at least 18 years old as of the date of entry.
  2. Entry Period: The Competition begins on 4 June 2026 and ends on 30 June 2026 at 11:59 PM AEST. Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be considered.
  3. How to Enter: To enter the Competition, participants must click on the provided link and complete the official entry form. Only one entry per person/email will be accepted.
  4. Prizes: There will be 3 prize winners selected. The winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. The prizes are as follows:
    Prize 1:
    • Return flights for a family of four (two adults and two children) from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane to Hervey Bay

  5. Winner Selection: The prize winners will be selected by random draw [using online random selection software] on 1 July 2026, and will be notified via email within three (3) days after the draw. The winners must respond to the notification within seven (7) days to claim the prize. Failure to respond within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize. Unsuccessful entrants of the Competition will not be individually notified that they have been unsuccessful in the Competition.
  6. Claiming the Prize: The winners will be provided with relevant voucher/s for their experiences with details on how to redeem their prize/s.  The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other alternatives. Please see more detail about this in the next section.
  7. Additional Expenses: Any additional expenses, such as travel, accommodation, meals, and personal expenses, are the sole responsibility of the winners. Return flights are only include in Prize 1 with return flights only available from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. All other travel e.g. from interstate, travel to airports etc. is at the sole responsibility of the winners. No transfers are included except for what is stated in the prize.
  8. Release and Publicity: By accepting the prize, the winners grant Fraser Coast Tourism & Events the right to use their names for promotional purposes in relation to the prize draw on Visit Fraser Coast’s social media account.
  9. General Conditions: Fraser Coast Tourism & Events reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Competition if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factors beyond their control impair the integrity of the Competition. The decisions of Fraser Coast Tourism & Events regarding the Competition are final and binding in all respects.
  10. Privacy: Any personal information collected during the entry process will be used for the administering the competition and subsequent marketing delivered by Fraser Coast Tourism and Events. Your data will not be shared with third parties without the consent of the participants.
  11. Email Marketing: By entering the Competition, you consent:
    a. Your name and email address will be added to the Fraser Coast Tourism & Events marketing database and shared with our participating partners (Kingfisher Bay Resort, Tasman Venture, White Crest Luxury Apartments, Hervey Bay Whale Watch Quick Cat II, Hervey Bay Boat Club, Hervey’s, Whalesong Cruises Hervey Bay, Pacific Whale Foundation Eco Adventures, Blue Dolphine Marine Tours, Sanctuary Lakes Fauna Retreat)
    b. for Fraser Coast Tourism & Events to provide your full name, date of birth, address, contact phone number, email address and any other applicable information to the Suppliers if you are named as the Competition winner.

Individual Prize Terms & Conditions:

Kingfisher Bay Resort:

  • This voucher is valid until 30 June 2027
  • This voucher is subject to availability at the time of booking and cannot be taken during Australian school holiday periods, public holidays, or long weekends.
  • Hotel accommodation and additional voucher inclusion upgrades are available at own expense unless stated above and subject to availability at time of booking.
  • This voucher is not valid with any other offer, is not transferable or redeemable for cash and must be taken intact. If lost or misplaced, vouchers will not be replaced.
  • Inclusion(s) not utilised, is non-refundable. Monetary value of the inclusions cannot be used for any upgrades or in replacement of services not included in the voucher.
  • The recipient of this voucher cannot on-sell or auction the prize for any monetary benefit. Kingfisher Bay Resort reserves the right to revoke the validity of the voucher, if such an incident occurs.
  • Any alterations to travel plans may incur a rebooking fee.
  • Kingfisher Bay Resort may, without notice to the holder of this voucher, substitute any services or the mode of carriage to carry the passenger.
  • Kingfisher Bay Resort may, without notice to the holder of this voucher, cancel any services without penalty, if services offered in this voucher are no longer offered as a product at time of redemption or they are cancelled due to circumstances outside of their control for example, but not limited to inclement weather.
  • Food, beverages, and incidental expenses will be at the expense of the holder of this voucher unless otherwise stated, please be aware not all restaurants are open year-round.
  • Please keep your voucher for presentation to reception staff on check-in.
  • Total value of the prize is $1578.00.
  • A gift voucher will be sent to the winner

Tasman Venture:

  • Voucher valid for Tasman Venture Half Day Whale Encounter Tour only
  • Not redeemable for cash
  • Valid from 11/07/2026 to 25/10/2026
  • Children must be 4 – 14 years old
  • Subject to availability
  • A gift voucher will be sent to the winner

White Crest Luxury Apartments:

  • Valid for 2 nights at White Crest Luxury Apartments in their 3 bedroom top floor apartment
  • Bookings are subject to availability. White Crest Luxury Apartments reserves the right to substitute the advertised apartment type with an alternative apartment if the original apartment is unavailable for the requested travel dates.

Hervey’s:

  • The provided voucher entitles the winner to a complimentary stay for two people for three consecutive nights in a Standard King Room at Hervey’s Hostel, Hervey Bay.
  • The voucher is valid until 30 November 2026 and must be redeemed and the stay completed before this date.
  • Both guests must be 18+.
  • To book, please contact Hervey’s directly via email at [email protected] and quote your voucher number.
  • Bookings are subject to availability and blackout dates may apply.
  • The voucher number must be provided at the time of booking.
  • The voucher must be redeemed by the winner named on the certificate. Proof of identification is required upon check-in for both guests.

  • Additional nights, room upgrades, or incidental charges are not included and will be charged separately.
