North of Lady Elliot and two hours from Bundaberg, Lady Musgrave Island is surrounded by 3000 acres of living reef. Visitors snorkel with turtles and marine life in the coral lagoon, and certified divers have the options of exploring the ocean depths. There are glass bottom boat tours for those who want a marine experience without getting wet and land-based guides show off the natural habitat of migratory birds.
Lady Musgrave is also home to some of the best snorkelling in the southern great barrier reef. Surrounded by a huge, circular coral wall which protects the inner lagoon of the island creates calm waters and clear visibility making it an ideal location for first-time snorkellers.
