By Air

The Fraser Coast is well connecting through the major Australian cities of Brisbane and Sydney. QantasLink offers multiple 35-minute daily flights between Brisbane and Hervey Bay Airport, while Virgin Australia offers a 90-minute daily direct service from Sydney. Seair Pacific operates daily flights between Hervey  Bay and Lady Elliot for your adventure to the start of the Great Barrier Reef.

By Rail

If you’re located throughout Queensland, there is a great rail service offered by Queensland Rail to the Fraser Coast region. There are regular daily services operating from Brisbane, Rockhampton and Cairns to Maryborough West train station on the Fraser Coast. Coach transfers to and from Hervey Bay also connect with many of the north and southbound trains.

By Bus

Greyhound and Premier coach lines operate several north and southbound services each day to Maryborough and Hervey Bay. Private shuttle transfers also operate between the Fraser Coast, Brisbane Airport, Brisbane CBD and Sunshine Coast Airport. By Self Drive

If you’d like to make your own adventure and travel self-drive to the Fraser Coast, we have a number of driving itineraries below to get you started. The Fraser Coast is a comfortable three hour drive north of Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane, along the Bruce Highway.
