Woolshed Eco Lodge is a sustainable, clean, friendly accommodation for the budget minded traveller in the centre of Hervey Bay.
Family owned and operated; their rooms are spread over one acre of lush tropical gardens. At the Woolshed, they actively embrace eco-friendly initiatives to support a sustainable future.
Their unique kitchen and common area resemble an Aussie Woolshed. Built entirely of wood, it oozes character and is the ideal place to socialise, dine with friends or relax in a hammock.
Located in the suburb of Scarness, they’re a five-minute walk to the beach, supermarket, restaurants, cafes and bars.
Megan and Brent have lived sustainably on the Fraser Coast since 2007 by Harvesting 50,000 litres of rainwater. Producing their own electricity with a 31kw solar system. Using sustainable and renewable building materials. Ensuring they are mostly single use plastic free. Composting food waste and using the compost to grow fruit and vegetables. Using non-toxic cleaning and washing products. Utilising bulk soap dispensers in all bathrooms. Providing sustainable paper hand towels and toilet paper. Implementing recycling systems and procedures. Having energy efficient led lighting. Installing water saving systems on toilets, shower heads and taps.
