Scarness Beach is popular with swimmers and it also has a jetty which attracts keen anglers. It has a timber boat ramp mostly used by outrigger crews to launch their craft along with a beachfront caravan park, shops, cafés, restaurants and a hotel. Pialba Beach is a quieter spot that entices anglers to throw in a line from the beach and includes dog walking areas. The foreshore hosts a beachfront caravan park, WetSide Water Park, an adventure playground, a café, a restaurant and a hotel.
