Fraser Island to the East protects Hervey Bay from the south easterly trade winds, this gives anglers access to sheltered fishing conditions year round.

Hervey Bay is also known as the whale watching capital of the world. The majestic Humpback whale inhabits their waters from July through to November. Dolphins, dugongs, marine turtles, shore and seabirds, the elusive Fraser Island dingo and much more wildlife can be seen whilst fishing this diverse area.
