Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours is located on the beautiful Fraser Coast region and their vessel navigates the beauty of the Great Sandy Straits Marine Park. They are the only tour operator in town to offer Indigenous experiences, either on the Turtle Discovery Tour for an active morning, the Milbi Sunset Cruise for a relaxing afternoon, and the Djinang Cultural Walking Tour for rich walk.
Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours is a family business and they believe that in order to protect the planet they must go back to their roots. This is why they’ve created this tour.
Their vessel is proudly named “Milbi” which carries the Butchulla meaning for ‘sea turtle’. It navigates protected waterways only and she is one of the largest glass bottom vessels in Australia.
Explore Round Island, Big Woody Island and/or Pelican Banks (tidal dependent). Snorkel the reef or just relax. Join in on the search for turtles, dolphins, dugongs, fish colonies and seabirds. Time will be set aside for a refreshing swim in clear waters.
Through their cultural experience, you will learn about the oldest surviving culture on Earth. Here lies an incredible opportunity to view the stunning coastal wilderness through the eyes of a local Butchulla man. Their land and sea custodians have called this beautiful land home for thousands of years and welcome you with open arms.
