Hidden Gem is a 600-acre cattle property just a stone’s throw from Kilkivan and only three hours from Brisbane. We are a working cattle farm with wide-open valleys and beautiful hills and ridges that beckon explorers. The peace and quiet here will fill your soul. Guests are welcome to walk the property or fish in one of the farm dams. Swimming and paddling are perfect on a hot day, or simply relax and watch wedge-tailed eagles soaring overhead and shy whiptailed wallabies grazing nearby. If you’re observant, you might even spot a koala dozing in a tree. Our accommodation is a quaint old shearer’s shack — The Shack — lovingly refurbished and now featuring indoor amenities including a kitchenette, shower, and flush toilet. It comfortably sleeps 4–6 people, with extra camp beds available for larger groups or two families holidaying together. The open-plan space features polished hardwood floors, comfortable furniture, and a cozy fireplace perfect for chilly winter nights. Outside, there’s a firepit with firewood provided.
