Hiawatha is an 800 acre cattle property situated about 10kms from Goomeri, in the South Burnett district in Queensland.It is a scenic area with Wonga Creek dissecting the property with hills on both sides of the valley. Boat Mountain, about 10kms to the west, is a striking backdrop.River Red Gums, Spotted Gum, Native Apple Trees, Narrow Leaf and Broad Leaf Ironbark are the dominant tree species. Many native birds and animals reside at Hiawatha. Hiawatha is also a release site for native birds and animals that a local wildlife carer has cared for.For many years following European settlement, Hiawatha was a dairy farm. More recently, Hiawatha has been operated as a beef cattle, stock horses and hay business.
