The Bridge Creek Memorial Bridge, located just over 20 kilometres from the town of Brooweena, was opened in 1921. An unusual example of a practical memorial to the local men who enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force in World War I, it was built by the owner of the Mount Joseph cattle station. Although no longer in use, the bridge is a beautiful picnic from which you can still see the Mount Joseph homestead.
