For the love of family, friends, and time together, of brunches and long lunches, and travel and adventure – get the COVID-19 vaccine.
That’s the message that will be delivered to millions of people as part of a new campaign being delivered by the Palaszczuk Government to encourage more Queenslanders to get vaccinated.
The “for the love of” campaign has been developed to remind Queenslanders that getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is the best way to protect yourself so that we can get back to spending time with our loved ones, doing all the activities we love, and working to return to the way of life that we all love and enjoy.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has continued her vaccination drive this week with the goal that 80 per cent of Queensland’s eligible population will be full vaccinated by December 17.
However, with Queensland lagging behind other Australian states, the Premier says how quickly the milestones are hit depends on the vaccination roll-out.
If 80 per cent vaccination rates are met fully vaccinated travellers will be allowed to enter Queensland without the need to quarantine from December 17.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the roadmap to reopen the state’s borders to COVID-19 hotspots for fully vaccinated people by Christmas would not be pushed back if the state did not reach 80 per cent.
Direct international arrivals will be able to undertake 14 days home quarantine if they’re vaccinated and test negative.
