In the summer of 2016, The TEN Tenors were back in Melbourne Australia, running through David Bowie’s Heroes for the very first time when they learned the news of his unexpected passing. Performing that song took on a whole new meaning for them. On tour just a few months later, the group was deeply affected like many around the world by the departure of another icon, Prince.
Out of these sorrows came the inspiration for their new show Wish You Were Here, a celebration of musical legends lost before their time. This tribute is a feel-good journey through some of the world’s greatest hits of all time, including a mix of the group’s own fan favourites: classic rock anthems of Queen, current day chart toppers of Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars, even soaring arias of Verdi and other traditional favourites.
With over 700 sold out shows across the US, six albums that have gone platinum and gold, appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Today Show and PBS, and performances alongside greats like Christina Aguilera, Andrea Bocelli and Keith Urban, Australia’s “vocal wonder from down under” has won over audiences worldwide with their stratospheric voices and undeniable Aussie charm.
