Whale Parade and Family Day
Event July 30
The Whale Parade is a colourful street parade that brings people of all ages coming together, dressed in festive wear and sporting impressive floats in honour of the humpback whales’ annual migration.
The parade will take place at the intersection of Franks Street and Charlton Esplanade and will proceed along the Esplanade to Seafront Oval, Pialba. Parade-goers are asked to gather at the marshalling area on Freshwater St (between Denmans Camp Rd and Queens Rd) beforehand.
Entrants need to consider the impact on our natural environment when building their floats and displays, please no plastics or tinsel.
The parade will reach the Seafront Oval where the Family Day will kick off in full swing, with plenty of activities for the whole family.
More information on how to participate can be found via the website.
