Moon Ledge
Moon lodge, located between Moon Point on Fraser Island and Pelican Bank, east of Woody Island is a deep-water diving and fishing reef site. With a depth ranging from between 11 and 20m, the best time to dive is winter when visibility is between 1 – 20 m depending on the current, tide and wind.

Gatakers Bay
Gatakers Bay on the Hervey Bay foreshore is the largest rocky promontory between Noosa and Bundaberg, occupying 800m between northern Eli Point and central Point Vernon. The coral reef of Gables point is just off Gatakers, and snorkelers find hard and soft coral, marine creatures including stingrays, turtles, squid and numerous species of fish occupying the area. The best time to enter the water is one hour either side of low tide.
Gatakers Bay is at the start of the Hervey Bay Esplanade Trail at the northernmost tip of Hervey Bay in Point Vernon, a short drive from Hervey Bay’s central suburb Pialba.
