Where is the Fraser Coast?
The Fraser Coast region is located in South East Queensland, just north of the Sunshine Coast, and south of the Bundaberg North Burnett region.  The Fraser Coast is approximately 3 hours drive north of Brisbane, and is home to the World Heritage listed Fraser Island, Lady Elliot Island, the UNESCO recognised Great Sandy Biosphere and the best Whale Encounters experience in the world.

Which airlines service the Fraser Coast?
Qantas and Virgin Australia fly direct from Brisbane and Sydney to the Fraser Coast Airport in Hervey Bay.

Where can I gain access to Fraser Island?
There are two main access points to Fraser Island in the Fraser Coast, with the first being from River Heads, located 20 minutes drive from Hervey Bay, and the other from Inskip Point in Rainbow Beach.

Can I swim on Fraser Island?
Visitors on Fraser Island can swim in most inland lakes and creeks including Lake Mckenzie, Eli Creek, Lake Wabby and Lake Birrabeen.  Swimming in the ocean on the Eastern Beach on Fraser Island is not permitted.  

Where do the Whale Encounter trips depart from?
All whale watching vessels are located and depart from the Urangan Boat Harbour, situated in Hervey Bay.
