They are located only metres from surf beach to the south and a protected bay to the north. You can take a short walk to the top of the headland and watch the whales swimming past. This is the place to stay for the best fishing on the island. Fish the southern beaches, the quiet bay or off the rock at the back of the headland for catching the biggest and best tailor during the tailor season. Fraser Island Fishing Units offer the choice of a four bedroom house or two cabins, fully powered by a solar system. Each unit and house is fully self-contained, offering two fridges, freezer, gas, hot water and stove. Barbecue areas with gas barbecues are also provided.
